Übersetzung des Abstracts: In diesem Artikel geben wir einen aktuellen Überblick über Theorie und Forschung zu Ausdruck, Wahrnehmung und Induktion von Emotionen in der Musik. We also criticise this research, noting that previous studies tend to neglect the social context of music listening. The most likely reason for this neglect is that most research on musical emotions has, implicitly or explicitly, taken the perspective of the musician in understanding reactions to music. The most likely reason for this neglect is that most research on musical emotions has, implicitly or explicitly, taken the perspective of the musician in understanding reactions to music. Accordingly, we present the results of an exploratory questionnaire study with 141 music listeners (aged between 17 and 74), which offers some new insights. The results provide preliminary estimates of the occurrence of different emotions when listening to music, as well as indications of how music is used in different ways by listeners in different life contexts. These results confirm that emotions are strongly related to most people’s main motives for listening to music. Source
